The dogs breeds village played host to several different pedigree dog breeds each with their own unique characteristics. Some breeds at the Expo had never ¬†been seen in Ireland, such as the Chinese Crested, Grifon Bruxelles and the Scottish Terrier. The Expo also boasted a ‘puppy socialisation area’, where puppies aged three months and over could socialise with other puppies. There was also a cat zone, which featured various breeds of cats. Some more unusual pets such as Alpacas and pygmy goats were also in attendance. Exotic animals on display included Freya, a rough neck monitor lizard, and Pinkie an alligator snapping turtle.

GAIN Pet Food also had a free hamper draw, which young Jake Austin  was lucky to walk away with as a treat for his very lucky King Charles cross.
